A story is simply a collection of thoughts. Everyone has thoughts and everyone can come up with stories, but to be an artist in the field of storytelling; one must be fluid, creative, and even charismatic. These qualities plus a jumble of good words create worlds. These worlds are made to draw individuals in, the owner of an idea or concept that creates a world portrays his thoughts through art; allowing a third party to absorb their thoughts and immerse themselves in the creator's world.       There are millions of good stories out there; in today's society just having a good story will not cut it. You need a plan. There is a business aspect to turning thoughts into words which will then be traded for revenue.      

Confidence- Confidence is a tightrope at its basis. Those who walk the line properly can capitalize on success using just a faith in their own ability. Over confidence leads to a lack of recognition when an individual lacks experience.  

Strictly on the business aspect of the product, it's not about the product itself or what the product (a story) entails; but what it can do. First let's look at what separates a large franchise from a simple story. Among other things, something that plays a huge role is vastness, the ability to branch off and add your own thoughts or speculations to a story brings a reader closer, and the character's lives become a small part of theirs ( the readers).  

Vastness was the idea behind "Sagas". A non-changeable clever story can create a masterpiece-something that goes down in history as a classic; but to create something that can branch out into an empire one would need a product with the ability to expand. The Sagas universe is essentially every inch of space, every dimension, every time zone. Every thought an individual can have IS placed into the world of sagas somewhere, somewhere in the Ether. The Ether represents everything that can will or has ever existed.
